4. Data of people who are not our client

Photographs and video taken at a property may show the landlord, the agent, an occupant or their belongings. We process such data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing independent documentary evidence to our client, and we limit that processing as follows:

▪ We record only what is necessary for the verification and only what is permitted on site.

▪ We avoid recording faces, personal documents and identifiable personal belongings wherever this is possible.

▪ We do not publish the material and we do not share it with any party other than our client and, where required, the authorities.

▪ Anyone shown in the material may contact us at info@verirent.nl to exercise the rights set out in article 7 below.

5. Who else processes the data

We use the following categories of processor, each bound by a processing agreement:

▪ Website hosting and forms — Wix.com Ltd.

▪ Payment processing — Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and the iDEAL scheme. Card data is processed by the payment provider and is not stored by us.

▪ Email and file storage used to receive and archive evidence.

▪ Our field inspectors, who act under a written instruction and confidentiality obligation and have access only to the case assigned to them.

Where a processor transfers data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Security

We apply access control on a need-to-know basis, encrypted transmission and storage of evidence, unique case and inspector identifiers to make every action traceable, and a written procedure for reporting a personal data breach to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within seventy-two hours where the breach is likely to present a risk.

You have the right to obtain access to your personal data, to have it rectified, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw a consent you have given and to receive your data in a portable form. Send your request to info@verirent.nl. We respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
